Removal [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  5. REMOVE SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER (w/ Suspension Tower Damper) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2023 - ]
  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  7. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    For Sport Package: Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

    Except Sport Package: Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    For Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 61

    Except Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57 [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58 [12/2023 - ]

  10. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 63

  11. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 64

  12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    For Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67

    Except Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 61 [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 62 [12/2023 - ]

  13. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    For 1Motor-HEV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

    For Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  14. REMOVE HOOD SPRING ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  16. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  20. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

  33. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      1. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.
      2. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the fan with motor assembly.
      3. Rotate the lever while pushing the lock, and disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.
        NOTE:

        After disconnecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector.

      4. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Disengage the 2 claws.
      2. Disengage the 2 guides to separate the cooler condenser assembly from the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly when separating the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

      3. Remove the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Disengage the 2 claws.
      2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the intercooler cooling radiator assembly from the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

      1. Disengage the 2 claws.
      2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the fan with motor assembly from the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan with motor assembly.

  34. REMOVE FILLER NECK

      *a Retainer - -
      Pull out Pull out
      1. Pull out the retainer to disengage the lock claws and pull off the filler neck.
