Removal [09/2023 - 12/2023]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL
- Perform the following procedure to prohibit brake control.
- To put the skid control ECU into sleep mode, turn the ignition switch off and wait for 4 minutes.NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, opening/closing doors or operating the brake pedal will activate the brake control system, so do not open/close any doors or operate the brake pedal.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

- To put the skid control ECU into sleep mode completely, depress the brake pedal 40 times or more.
- Check that the brake pedal does not stroke.
- To put the skid control ECU into sleep mode, turn the ignition switch off and wait for 4 minutes.
- Perform the following procedure to prohibit brake control.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
- DISCONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE
- REMOVE DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT DISC
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD

- REMOVE FRONT ANTI SQUEAL SHIM KIT
