Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM KIT 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  2. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD

  3. INSTALL FRONT DISC

      *a Identification Mark *b Matchmark
      1. Check the identification mark to determine the installation side.
        NOTE:

        The front disc needs to be installed to the correct side of the vehicle. There is a "Pink" identification mark, indicating the disc for the left wheel, or a "Green" identification mark, indicating the disc for the right wheel, engraved on the disc in the position shown in the illustration.

      2. Align the matchmarks of the front disc and front axle hub sub-assembly, and install the front disc.
        NOTE:

        When replacing the front disc with a new one, select the installation position where the front disc has minimal runout.

  4. INSTALL DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 255 N*m (2600 kgf*cm, 188 ft.*lbf) 

  5. CONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE

      1. Connect the front flexible hose to the disc brake cylinder assembly with a new union bolt and a new gasket.

        Torque: 39.2 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Install the front flexible hose lock securely into the lock hole in the disc brake cylinder assembly.

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

      1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

        For T24A-FTS: Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - ]

        For 2GR-FXS: Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

      2. Perform the following procedure if air bleeding is not necessary:
        1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
        2. Depress the brake pedal and release it.
        3. Clear the DTCs.

          Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2023 - ]

  7. BLEED BRAKE LINE 

    Refer to BLEEDING [09/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - ]

  9. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [12/2023 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective systems are used.
