PERFORM RESOLVER INITIALIZATION

NOTE:

If it is necessary to replace the transaxle assembly with motor, make sure to perform resolver initialization before starting work.

DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

Cover the hole where the shift control actuator assembly was installed with tape or equivalent (non-residue type) to prevent entry of foreign matter, water, etc.

Release the lock

Rotating the lock lever

Disconnect the wire harness connector from the rack and pinion power steering gear assembly.
HINT:

Release the lock before rotating the lock lever.
Remove the bolt to disconnect the engine wire.
Disengage the 2 clamps.
Remove the bolt to disconnect the earth wire.
Disengage the clamp to disconnect the engine wire.

	Rotating the lock lever	-	-

Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 4 wire harness connectors to disconnect the engine wire.
HINT:

Release the lock before rotating the lock lever.
Remove the bolt and nut to disconnect the engine wire.

REMOVE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR AND INVERTER

NOTE:

To avoid damaging the knock pins, do not pry between the transaxle assembly with motor and inverter and engine assembly.
To prevent the splines of the transmission input damper assembly from becoming misaligned, do not allow the transaxle assembly with motor and inverter to hit the transmission input damper assembly during transaxle assembly with motor and inverter removal and installation.
