Installation [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

      Torque: 7.6 N.m (77 kgf/cm, 67 in.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING PIPE

      *a Alignment Mark *b 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.)
      *c Up *d RH Side
      1. Connect the inverter cooling hose to the No. 2 inverter cooling pipe and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • To prevent foreign matter from entering the No. 2 inverter cooling pipe, do not remove the pieces of cloth from the pipe and disconnected hose until installation.
        • Do not apply excessive force to the inverter cooling hose.
      2. Engage the clamp.
      3. Install the nut and bolt.

        Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL HV BATTERY CHARGER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:
    • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
    • Installing the HV battery charger wire in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.

      *a Waterproof Seal - -
      1. Connect the HV battery charger wire with the 4 bolts A.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 89 in.lbf) 

      2. Connect the HV battery charger wire with the bolt B.

        Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      3. Connect the HV battery charger wire to the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly with 2 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:
        • Push in the HV battery charger wire so that the waterproof seal cannot be seen.
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
      4. Temporarily install the 2 bolts.
        NOTE:
        • To prevent the threads from being damaged, temporarily tighten the 2 bolts by hand.
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
      5. Using an insulated tool, fully tighten the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:
        • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
        • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.
        • Be sure to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts.
  5. INSTALL UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    NOTE:
    • Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
    • Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
    • Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when connecting the connector.

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  6. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER WITH TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - 10/2024] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2024 - ]

  7. CONNECT HV BATTERY CHARGER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      1. Connect the HV battery charger wire with the 3 nuts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      2. Engage the clamp.

      1. Using an insulated tool, install the HV battery charger wire with the 2 nuts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      2. Using an insulated tool, connect the ground terminal with the nut.

        Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  8. CONNECT NO. 2 HV FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

      1. Using an insulated tool, install the No. 2 HV floor under wire with the 2 nuts.

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

      2. Using an insulated tool, connect the ground terminal with the nut.

        Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

      3. Close the cover of No. 2 traction battery device box.
      4. Connect the connector.
  9. INSTALL NO. 6 HV BATTERY SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12
  10. INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

  11. INSTALL REAR MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  12. INSTALL ENGINE SERVICE COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf) 

  13. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 

    Bolt: 

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  14. INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET 

    Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf) 

  15. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. INSTALL UPPER HV BATTERY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  17. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR MAT 
  18. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Temporarily install the rear seat cushion leg sub-assembly with the 7 bolts.
      2. Fully tighten the 7 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

        Torque: 24 N.m (245 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

      3. Engage the clamp.
  19. INSTALL FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU (for Power Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  20. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 
  21. INSTALL NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 
  22. INSTALL NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 
  23. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
  24. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
  25. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 
  26. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2023 - ]

  27. REMOVE UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
  28. REMOVE INVERTER TERMINAL GASKET 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32
  29. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
  30. INSTALL UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
  31. INSTALL BATTERY COVER LOCK STRIKER 
    See step  31
  32. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14
  33. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  34. CONNECT WATER HOSE WITH FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17
  35. INSTALL ECM 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  36. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19
  37. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20
  38. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56
  39. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  40. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  41. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
  42. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 
  43. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP

  44. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  45. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  46. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [08/2023 - ]
