Installation [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
  3. INSTALL FILLER NECK

      *a Retainer - -
      Push Push in
      1. Align the filler neck with the radiator assembly and securely insert the filler neck to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Confirm that the retainer makes a "click" sound when pushed.

      2. Push in the retainer.
      3. Check that the radiator assembly and filler neck are securely connected by pulling on them.
  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      1. Engage the 2 guides.
      2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Install the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

      2. Engage the 2 guides.
      3. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly, radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) or radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant).

      1. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
      2. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and rotate the lever to lock it.
        NOTE:
        • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.
        • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.
      3. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
      4. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.
  5. CONNECT NO. 5 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
  6. CONNECT NO. 4 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
  7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      *c Upper Side of Vehicle *d Right Side of Vehicle
      *e 2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.) *f Paint Mark
      1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 2 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  8. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      *e 2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.) *f Paint Mark
      1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  9. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
  10. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      *e Rear Side of Vehicle *f 2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.)
      1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 5 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

  12. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  14. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  15. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  16. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  17. INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT TENSION SPRING 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
  19. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
  20. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

  21. CONNECT NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  22. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 
  23. INSTALL RADIATOR SHUTTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

  24. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
  25. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    for Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2023 - ]

    except Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2023 - ]

  26. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    for Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2023 - ]

    except Sport Package: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2023 - ]

  27. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER 
  28. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
  29. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    for Sport Package: Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

    except Sport Package: Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

  30. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  31. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  32. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2023 - ]

  33. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  34. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2022 - ]

  35. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [10/2022 - 10/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 61 [10/2024 - ]

  36. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 [10/2022 - 10/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 62 [10/2024 - ]

  37. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
