Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

   1. Remove the clip (A), 2 bolts (B) and 7 screws (C).
   2. Turn the 4 clips (D) and remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      If the 4 clips are not turned when the front floor cover LH is removed, the front floor cover LH or stud bolt may be damaged.

      HINT: 

      Do not remove the clips from the front floor cover LH.

   1. Remove the 3 clips (A), 2 clips (B) and 4 screws (C).
   2. Turn the 3 clips (D) and remove the No. 1 floor under cover from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      If the 3 clips are not turned when the No. 1 floor under cover is removed, the No. 1 floor under cover or stud bolt may be damaged.

      HINT: 

      Do not remove the clips from the No. 1 floor under cover.

   1. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly from the charcoal canister assembly.

   1. Disconnect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly from the fuel pipe.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2022 - ]

   1. Disconnect the fuel tank breather tube from the fuel tank breather tube sub-assembly.

   1. Disconnect the fuel tank breather tube from the fuel tank breather tube sub-assembly.

   1. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe assembly from the fuel tank assembly.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2022 - ]

WARNING: The fuel tank assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the appropriate service information , or the fuel tank assembly may fall off the engine lifter. Courtesy of © TOYOTA, LICENSE AGREEMENT TMS1002

   1. Support the fuel tank assembly using an engine lifter.

      HINT: 

      Using height adjustment attachments and plate lift attachments, keep the fuel tank assembly horizontal.

   2. Remove the 5 bolts, fuel tank band sub-assembly and No. 1 fuel tank band sub-assembly LH.
   3. Lower the engine lifter to remove the fuel tank assembly.
      NOTE:

      • Be careful not to drop the fuel tank assembly.
      • When removing the fuel tank assembly, tilt it slightly to prevent it from interfering with the surrounding parts.
