Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH 
    1. Use the same procedure for the LH side.
  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE BACK DOOR INSIDE HANDLE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  7. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  8. DISCONNECT POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY

      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slightly raise the 2 stop rings as shown in the illustration.
      2. Disengage the 2 ball joints to remove the power back door unit assembly.
        NOTE:
        • Remove the power back door unit assembly while supporting the back door by hand.
        • Make sure to replace the power back door unit assembly with a new one.
  11. REMOVE BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY UPPER BRACKET

  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY LOWER BRACKET
