Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
- REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE FRONT UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- SEPARATE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH (for LH Side)
- SEPARATE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH (for RH Side)
- REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The following procedure is for the LH side.
- Turn back the luggage compartment trim cover until the absorber control actuator can be seen.
- Disconnect the connector.
*a 40° - Turn the absorber control actuator 40° counterclockwise to remove it from the rear actuator support bracket.NOTE:
- Do not turn the absorber control actuator more than 40°.
- Do not drop the absorber control actuator. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
