Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. REMOVE FRONT UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. SEPARATE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH (for LH Side) 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and open the 2 covers.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hook assemblies.

    3. Remove the 4 clips.

    4. Disengage the claw.
    5. Separate the luggage compartment trim cover LH from the vehicle body.
  10. SEPARATE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH (for RH Side) 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and open the 2 covers.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hook assemblies.

    3. Remove the 4 clips.

    4. Disengage the claw.
    5. Separate the luggage compartment trim cover RH from the vehicle body.
  11. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR 

    HINT: 

    • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
    • The following procedure is for the LH side.
    1. Turn back the luggage compartment trim cover until the absorber control actuator can be seen.
    2. Disconnect the connector.

      *a 40°
    3. Turn the absorber control actuator 40° counterclockwise to remove it from the rear actuator support bracket.
      NOTE:
      • Do not turn the absorber control actuator more than 40°.
      • Do not drop the absorber control actuator. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
