Installation [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the guide and install the rear seat outer belt anchor bracket assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSPECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the guide and temporarily install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the bolt (A) first, then the bolt (B) to install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

      Bolt (A) 

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (B) 

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

    3. for LH Side:
      1. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

        *a Locking Button
        *b Lock
        NOTE:

        Securely lock the locking button.

    4. for RH Side:
      1. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

        *b Lock
        NOTE:

        Securely lock the locking button.

    5. Check that the ELR locks.
      NOTE:

      The check should be performed with the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle.

      1. With the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
  4. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [11/2017 - ]

  5. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [11/2017 - ]

  6. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  8

  7. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 

    See step  9

  8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - ]

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 
    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly.
  10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2017 - ]

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2017 - ]

  13. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly with the bolt.

      *a Indented Part

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly to overlap the indented parts of the floor panel.

    2. Engage the 3 clips to connect the belt guide unit of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

  14. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2017 - ]

  15. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2017 - ]

  16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37 [11/2017 - ]

  17. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  18. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2017 - ]
