Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)

REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Move the shift lever to N.

Remove the nut, and disconnect the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly.

Lever

REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

Using a screwdriver, bend back the tabs of the lock washer and remove the lock nut and lock washer from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

*b	Lock Nut

Remove the bolt and park/neutral position switch assembly from the automatic transmission with transfer assembly.

HINT:

Make sure that the manual valve lever shaft has not been rotated prior to installing the park/neutral position switch assembly as the detent spring may become detached from the manual valve lever shaft.
