DTC P106C-62: Evaporative Emission System Pressure/Barometric Pressure Signal Compare Failure; DTC P106D-62: Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor Signal Compare Failure [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO P106C-62 AND/OR P106D-62) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
    5. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P106C-62 is output A
      DTC P106D-62 is output B
      DTC P106C-62 and P106D-62 are output C
      DTC P106C-62 and/or P106D-62 and other DTCs are output D

      HINT: 

      If any DTCs other than P106C-62 and/or P106D-62 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    GO TO DTC CHART.   2. REPLACE ECM (ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR) 
    1. Replace the ECM (atmospheric pressure sensor).

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  3. REPLACE NO. 2 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR 
    1. Replace the No. 2 turbo pressure sensor.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REPLACE CANISTER PUMP MODULE 
    1. Replace the canister pump module.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - 09/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  5. CONFIRM WHETHER MALFUNCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Atmospheric Pressure, Vapor Pressure Pump and Boost Pressure Sensor.

      Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Atmospheric Pressure
      Vapor Pressure Pump
      Boost Pressure Sensor
    4. Confirm that the difference between Atmospheric Pressure and Vapor Pressure Pump is 7.89 kPa [1.14 psi] or less.
    5. Confirm that the difference between Vapor Pressure Pump and Boost Pressure Sensor is 12.4 kPa [1.80 psi] or less.
