DTC P0979: Shift Solenoid "C" Control Circuit Low (Shift Solenoid Valve S3); DTC P0980: Shift Solenoid "C" Control Circuit High (Shift Solenoid Valve S3) [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the F47 transmission wire connector.

   *a	Component without harness connected (Transmission Wire)

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   7 (S3) - Body ground	20°C (68°F)	11 to 15 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

NG

   *a	Rear view of wire harness connector (to ECM)

2. Disconnect the A70 ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A70-9 (S3) - Body ground	20°C (68°F)	11 to 15 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE ECM. Refer to  COMPONENTS [09/2014 - 10/2015]  , or refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2015 - 11/2017] 

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

1. Remove the shift solenoid valve S3.

   *a	Shift Solenoid Valve S3

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   Solenoid Connector (S3) - Solenoid Body (S3)	20°C (68°F)	11 to 15 Ω

3. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.

   OK

   The solenoid makes an operating sound.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE. Refer to  COMPONENTS [09/2014 - ]
