Installation [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. When using a new vacuum pump assembly:
      1. Apply engine oil to the No. 2 O-ring and No. 3 O-ring which are installed to a new vacuum pump assembly.

        *1 No. 2 O-ring
        *2 No. 3 O-ring
        Engine Oil
    2. When reusing the vacuum pump assembly:
      1. Apply engine oil to a new No. 2 O-ring and No. 3 O-ring and install them to the vacuum pump assembly.

        *1 No. 2 O-ring
        *2 No. 3 O-ring
        Engine Oil
    3. Apply engine oil to the inner surface of the installation hole.
    4. Temporarily install the vacuum pump assembly so that the oil pipe engages with the hole of the camshaft and the coupling teeth engages with the groove of the camshaft.

      *c Oil Pipe
      NOTE:
      • Ensure that the vacuum pump assembly is installed securely.
      • Be careful not to pinch the O-ring.
    5. Install the vacuum pump assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • After installation, check that there are no gaps between the matching surfaces and that the vacuum pump assembly is not installed at an angle.
      • Tighten the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Install the No. 2 water by-pass pipe with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

  3. CONNECT NO. 12 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 12 water by-pass hose to the No. 2 water by-pass pipe and slide the clip to secure it.

  4. CONNECT OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE A 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68

  5. CONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE A 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67

  6. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  7. CONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  8. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  9. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2017 - ]

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Install the No. 2 engine wire with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  11. INSTALL BATTERY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  13. INSPECT VACUUM PUMP OPERATION 

    Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2017 - ]
