Adjustment [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  2. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the hood.
      1. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts of the hood.

      2. Adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender by moving the hood.
      3. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts after adjustment.

        Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf) 

    2. Adjust the height of the front end of the hood using the hood bumper cushions.
      1. Adjust the 2 hood bumper cushions so that the heights of the hood and fenders are aligned.

        HINT: 

        Raise or lower the front end of the hood by turning the 2 hood bumper cushions.

    3. Adjust the hood lock.
      1. Remove the engine room side cover.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

      2. Remove the cool air intake duct seal.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

      3. Remove the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System).

        Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      4. Remove the hood lock release lever protector.

        See step  7

      5. Loosen the 3 bolts.

      6. Adjust the hood lock and tighten the 3 bolts.

        Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

      7. Check that the striker can engage the hood lock smoothly.
      8. Install the hood lock release lever protector.

        See step  3

      9. Install the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System).

        Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - 11/2017]

      10. Install the cool air intake duct seal.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

      11. Install the engine room side cover.

        Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
