Removal [03/2022 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER HEAT INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) WARNING:
- To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
- REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL LH
- REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL RH
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE COWL VENTILATOR SPLASH SHIELD LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [03/2024 - ]
- REMOVE COWL VENTILATOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2024 - ]
- REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1)
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] - REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET WARNING:
- To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
- SEPARATE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR WARNING:
- To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
- SEPARATE NO. 1 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR WARNING:
- To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
- REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY WARNING:
- To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
- SEPARATE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- SEPARATE FLOW SHUTTING VALVE (WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY)
- REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD (TWC: Front Catalyst) WARNING:
- To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
*1 No. 1 Front Floor Heat Insulator *2 No. 1 Exhaust Manifold Heat Insulator *3 Exhaust Manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst) - - - Remove the 7 nuts and separate the exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst) from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
- Remove the No. 1 front floor heat insulator, No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator and exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).
- REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET
- REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR
