Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Hands Free Power Back Door) 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Hands Free Power Back Door) 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER STEP

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw and remove the rear bumper step as shown in the illustration.
  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR PLATE

      1. Detach the claws in the order shown in the illustration.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw and remove the rear bumper bar plate as shown in the illustration.
  5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  6. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION LH

      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER FILLER LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper filler LH.
      2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER FILLER RH

  11. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard) 
    See step  1
  12. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH (w/ Mudguard) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  15. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Screw Clip
      1. Put protective tape around the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
      2. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the screw.
      3. Remove the clip.

      1. Detach the claw.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip and remove part of quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
  16. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

      Bolt (A) Screw
      1. Remove the 4 bolts (A) and 6 screws.

      Bolt (B) Screw
      1. Remove the 2 bolts (B) and 6 screws.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Remove the 2 clips.
      2. Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
    5. Use the same procedure for the other side.

      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.
