Installation [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 5 guides as shown in the illustration to temporarily install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.

      Install in this Direction - -
      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
    2. Install the 5 bolts <B>, 2 clips and nut <D>.
    3. Install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly with the 2 bolts <A>.

      Bolt<A> 

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Engage each clamp.
    5. Connect each connector.
    6. Engage the 2 claws to connect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
  2. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration to install the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. w/ Ambient Light:
      1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 6 clips as shown in the illustration to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  5. INSTALL SWITCH BASE 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration to install the switch base.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the clip and 3 claws as shown in the illustration to install the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.

  7. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2020 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2022 - ]

  8. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2020 - 09/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2022 - ]

  9. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 3 claws as shown in the illustration to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

  11. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  12. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 3 claws as shown in the illustration to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

  14. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  15. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 12 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction - -
    2. Install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly with the 2 screws <C>.
    3. Connect the connector.
  17. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Engage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  18. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the center instrument panel reinforcement sub-assembly with the bolt <B> and 2 nuts <D>.
    2. Engage the 2 clamps.
  19. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 guides and 6 clips to install the upper instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  20. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  21. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 2 guides and 4 clips to install the No. 1 speaker opening cover assembly as shown in the illustration.

    5. Engage the 2 claws.

    1. Connect the connector and engage the 2 clamps.
    2. Engage the 2 claws to connect the DLC3 connector.
