Pull in this Direction - - - Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish LH toward the inside of the cabin as shown in the illustration to disengage the front pillar garnish LH from the base of the 2 front pillar garnish clips.
HINT:
Let the front pillar garnish LH hang from the 2 front pillar garnish clips.
- Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish LH toward the inside of the cabin as shown in the illustration to disengage the front pillar garnish LH from the base of the 2 front pillar garnish clips.
Pull in this Direction Pull in this Direction - Pull down the front pillar garnish clip while pushing the side of the release lever with SST as shown in the illustration.
- SST: 09813-00020
- While pulling the front pillar garnish clip, push the side of the release lever with SST as shown in the illustration and then separate the front pillar garnish clip from the vehicle body.
- Pull down the front pillar garnish clip while pushing the side of the release lever with SST as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - - - Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.
- Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
1. Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover, such as a cloth, and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.
- Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
- Remove the 2 front pillar garnish clips from the front pillar garnish LH.

- REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD
- REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for LH Side)

- Lower the No. 1 deck side trim hook as shown in the illustration.
Push in this Direction - - - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disengage the 2 clips, 5 claws and 4 guides to remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disconnect each connector.
- DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

- Lower the No. 1 deck side trim hook as shown in the illustration.
Push in this Direction - - - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disengage the 2 clips, 5 claws and 4 guides to remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH.
- w/ Power Outlet Socket:
- Disconnect the connector.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Outlet Socket)

- REMOVE POWER OUTLET SOCKET BEZEL (w/ Power Outlet Socket)
- DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

NOTE:To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to insert SST straight into the cutout.
- Pull SST as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw.NOTE:
To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to only pull SST as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the claw on the other side of the assist grip cover.
- Remove the assist grip cover.
- Insert SST into the cutout of the assist grip cover as shown in the illustration.
- Use the same procedure for all assist grip covers.

- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
Move in This Direction Recline in This Direction - Operate the power seat switch knob (slide and vertical) and slide the front seat assembly LH to the front most position.
- Operate the power seat switch knob (reclining) and recline the seatback of the front seat assembly LH to the operational limit position.
- Perform the same procedure as for the opposite side.
HINT:
As the illustration shown is an example, the actual details may differ.
- for Front Pillar LH Side:
1. Remove the protective cover.
2. Disconnect each connector.
3. Disengage the 3 clamps.
4. Disconnect the washer hose assembly.
5. Install the protective cover.
- for Front Pillar RH Side:
1. Remove the protective cover.
2. Disconnect each connector.
3. Disengage the 2 clamps.
4. Install the protective cover.
- for Windshield Glass Side:
1. Disconnect each connector.
- for Map Light Side:
1. Disconnect the connector.
- for Rear Pillar LH Side with Digital Inner Mirror:
1. Disconnect the connector.
- for Rear Pillar RH Side:
1. Disconnect each connector.
- for Front Pillar LH Side:
Rotation Direction Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - - - Turn each visor holder approximately 45° and remove them as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration to remove the base of each visor holder.
- for Normal Roof:

- Disengage the 2 fasteners.
- Disconnect the rear side of the washer hose assembly and remove the roof headlining assembly.
- Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the back door as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.
- for Moon Roof:

- Disengage the 7 fasteners and guide.
- Disconnect the rear side of the washer hose assembly and remove the roof headlining assembly.
- Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the back door as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.
- for Panoramic Moon Roof:

- Disengage the 14 fasteners and guide.
- Disconnect the rear side of the washer hose assembly and remove the roof headlining assembly.
- Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the back door as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.
