Removal [08/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE JUNCTION BLOCK SERVICE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD REAR LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE JUNCTION BLOCK SERVICE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  11. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  12. SEPARATE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  13. SEPARATE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  14. REMOVE DECK BOARD SET SUPPORT LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  15. REMOVE DECK BOARD SET SUPPORT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  16. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2023 - ]

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 battery service cover board.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  19. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41

  21. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  22. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 50
  23. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 51

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  25. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53
  26. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  27. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 48

  28. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
  29. DISCONNECT AC CHARGER INLET CABLE 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

  30. REMOVE BATTERY CHARGE PORT LID SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect in this Direction - -
      1. Remove the 5 bolts.
      2. Disconnect the battery charge port lid sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
      3. Disengage the guide to remove the battery charge port lid sub-assembly.
  31. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OUTER OPENING LID

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and 6 guides to remove the fuel filler outer opening lid as shown in the illustration.
  32. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER

      Remove in this Direction - -
  33. REMOVE BATTERY CHARGER CONNECTOR OPENING LID SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Apply protective tape around the battery charger connector opening lid sub-assembly.
      2. Disconnect the 3 connectors and 4 claws.
      3. Remove the battery charger connector opening lid sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
