Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    for LED Type Turn Signal Light:

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light:

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure for the LH side.
  3. REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT TENSION SPRING

      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the hood support tension spring.
      2. Use the same procedure for the opposite side.
  4. REMOVE HOOD AUXILIARY CATCH HOOK ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [08/2023 - ]

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - 10/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2024 - ]

  8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2022 - 08/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2023 - ]

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL COVER

  11. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  15. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      1. Tie a string to the hood lock control lever sub-assembly side end of the hood lock control cable assembly.

        HINT: 

        Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

      2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly through the grommet.

        HINT: 

        Leave the string inside the grommet.

      3. Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.

      *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly - -
      *a Bolt - -
      1. Remove the hood lock control cable assembly.

        1. Disengage each clamp as shown in the illustration.

        2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
