Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:

NOTE:After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
*a Turns off - - - Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Detach the claw and guide to remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.
- REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE GROMMET
