Removal [01/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [06/2019 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [05/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 
    1. Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and guide and remove the radiator support to frame seal RH.
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and guide and remove the engine room side cover LH.
  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 
    1. Remove the 9 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and guide and remove the lower radiator air deflector.
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [06/2019 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [05/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [06/2019 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [05/2023 - ]

  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly RH.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [01/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [05/2023 - ]

  11. REMOVE OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the ground wire.
    3. Detach the clamp.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts.
    5. Move the oil pump motor controller assembly to the position shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE HEATER ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

    2. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 hose clips and slide the hose clip to disconnect the water pipe sub-assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the water pipe sub-assembly.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    3. Remove the nut.

    4. Disconnect the connector.

    5. Remove the 2 nuts.
    6. Move the heater accessory assembly (with water pipe sub-assembly) to the center of the engine room and remove it as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    7. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 hose clips and slide the hose clip to remove the water pipe sub-assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the water pipe sub-assembly.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    8. Remove the 4 hose clips from the water pipe sub-assembly.
