Installation [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Tie the string that was passed through the engine compartment to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly.
    2. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly through the wire harness grommet as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly
      *2 Wire Harness Grommet
    3. Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
    4. Attach clamps to install the grommet and hood lock control cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.
    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and hood control assembly.
    3. Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the connector.
  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER LH 
    1. Attach the clamps to install the hood lock control cable cover LH.
  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 
    1. Attach the clamp to install the hood lock release lever protector with the 2 clips.
    2. Attach the harness clamp.
  5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
    2. Attach the claws to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
  6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [03/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [04/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [05/2023 - ]

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT TOP SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [05/2023 - ]

  9. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [03/2017 - ]
