Disassembly [07/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the rear corner ultrasonic sensor.

  4. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the rear corner ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.
    2. Detach the clamp and remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  6. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the ultrasonic sensor clip, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the ultrasonic sensor clip and rear bumper cover using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for all ultrasonic sensor clips.

    Part Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Ultrasonic Sensor Clip
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.

  7. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE LH 
    1. Detach the claw.

    2. Detach the fall prevention hook from guide and remove the rear bumper piece LH.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM EXTENSION LH 
    1. Detach the guide and remove rear bumper arm extension LH as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM EXTENSION RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    3. Detach the guide remove the rear bumper extension sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 6 screws.

    2. Remove the 2 clips.
    3. Detach the guide and claw and remove the rear bumper center extension sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the No. 1 moulding tape, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the No. 1 moulding tape and rear bumper cover using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER PAD 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the rear bumper center pad, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear bumper center pad and rear bumper cover using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  19. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the rear bumper pad, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear bumper pad and rear bumper cover using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  20. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE

  21. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the screw.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Detach the claw and guide and remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.
  22. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper extension LH.
  24. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper extension.
  26. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION LH 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

      Turn Direction
    2. Detach the claw.
    3. With the guide as a starting point, turn the rear bumper corner extension LH to detach the clip and guide and remove the rear bumper corner extension LH as shown in the illustration.
  27. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  28. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD INSERT 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the rear bumper pad insert, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear bumper pad insert and rear bumper corner extension LH using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
