Installation [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure
- INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
- Connect the 2 airbag connectors of the No. 3 instrument panel wire to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
*a Airbag Connector *b Airbag Connector Locking Button Push in this Direction NOTE:- When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
- Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.
- Push in the 2 airbag connector locking buttons as shown in the illustration to install the 2 airbag connectors to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
- Engage the clamp.
- Connect the 2 airbag connectors of the No. 3 instrument panel wire to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- CONNECT NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
- Check that the engine switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is as shown in the illustration.

When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
HINT:
- Be sure to connect the connector until it is locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).
- When the connector is locked, the white housing lock will slide. Do not hold the white housing lock as it may result in an insecure connection.
- INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
