Installation [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING LH 
    1. Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH to the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.

      *a Cutout
      *b Stopper
      Front of the Vehicle
      Inside of the Vehicle
      NOTE:
      • Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH so that the cutout is facing the rear of the vehicle.
      • Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH onto the front stabilizer bar so that the stopper ring of the front stabilizer bar faces the outside of the vehicle.
  2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR 
    1. Install the front stabilizer bar with the 2 front stabilizer bar bushings to the vehicle body.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the identification mark is positioned as shown in the illustration.
      • Use wire or an equivalent tool to secure the front stabilizer bar.

  4. INSTALL STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH 
    1. Install the front No. 2 stabilizer bracket LH to the front frame assembly.
    2. Install the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH to the front frame assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 93 N*m (948 kgf*cm, 69 ft.*lbf) 

  7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  9. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD (TWC: Front Catalyst) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  10. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    1. Engage the 3 wire harness clamps.
    2. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
  11. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  12. CONNECT FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  2, or see step  2, or see step  2

  13. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  14. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH to the front shock absorber assembly and front stabilizer bar with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 76 N*m (775 kgf*cm, 56 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT: 

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench to hold the stud bolt.

  16. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. CONNECT STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  18. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  19. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  20. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2015 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2017 - ]

  21. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [09/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [08/2019 - ]

  22. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2019 - ]
