Installation [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH 
    HINT: 
    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front engine mounting insulator RH is necessary.

      Torque: 124 N.m (1264 kgf/cm, 91 ft.lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 28 N.m (286 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH 
    HINT: 
    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front engine mounting insulator LH is necessary.

  3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 

    Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 

    Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

  5. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE 
  6. INSTALL ENGINE HANGER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58

  7. REMOVE ENGINE STAND 
  8. INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY

      1. Slowly lower the engine into the engine compartment.
      2. Using a 17 mm hexagon wrench, install the front engine mounting insulator LH and front engine mounting insulator RH with the 4 hexagon socket head cap bolts.

        Torque: 144 N.m (1468 kgf/cm, 106 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR PLATE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
  10. INSTALL DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  11. INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

      1. Connect the fuel tube sub-assembly.

      2. Install the fuel pipe clamp.

      1. Connect the inlet heater water hose connector to the water by-pass hose assembly.
        NOTE:

        Check that there is no damage or foreign matter on the connecting parts of the water lines.

        1. Connect the inlet heater water hose connector to the water by-pass hose assembly as shown in the illustration.

        2. Push in the retainer.

        3. Check that the water by-pass hose assembly and inlet heater water hose connector are securely connected by pulling on them.

      1. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose assembly connector to the water by-pass hose assembly.
        NOTE:

        Check that there is no damage or foreign matter on the connecting parts of the water lines.

        1. Align the protrusion of the water by-pass pipe assembly with the cutout in the No. 4 water by-pass hose assembly connector and securely insert the No. 4 water by-pass hose assembly connector to the stopper of the pipe.

        2. Push in the retainer.

        3. Check that the water by-pass pipe assembly and No. 4 water by-pass hose assembly connector are securely connected by pulling on them.

  37. INSTALL OIL COOLER TUBE AND OIL COOLER HOSE WITH OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

  42. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY AND NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      1. Install the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf/cm, 87 in.lbf) 

      2. Remove the vinyl tape from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A and connecting part of the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and then sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

        Compressor Oil

        Refrigerant Compressor Oil
        HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
        HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
      3. Install the O-ring to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
        NOTE:

        Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surface free of foreign matter.

      4. Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A to the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

  43. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER CENTER UPPER RETAINER 
  44. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
  45. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
  46. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

      Install in this Direction - -
      1. Set the No. 1 engine under cover assembly to the vehicle side while attaching the 2 temporary holding guides of the No. 1 engine under cover assembly to the vehicle frame as shown in the illustration.
      2. Move the side of the No. 1 engine under cover assembly facing the front of the vehicle and attach the 2 temporary holding guides to the vehicle frame.
      3. Install the 5 bolts.

        Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf)
