Installation [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

      1. Install the intercooler support bracket to the intercooler assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      2. Install the purge pressure sensor bracket to the intercooler assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      3. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      4. Install the intercooler support bracket to the intercooler assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      5. Install the No. 1 V-bank cover bracket to the intercooler assembly with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      6. Install the bolt to the intercooler assembly.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      7. Install a new gasket to the intercooler assembly as shown in the illustration.
      8. Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank assembly as shown in the illustration.
      9. Temporarily install the intercooler assembly and throttle with throttle position sensor assembly with the 7 bolts.
      10. Tighten the 4 bolts.

        Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

      11. Tighten the 3 bolts.

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

      Connect the Intercooler Cooling Water Pipe Assembly Insert the Retainer in the Direction of the Arrow Shown in the Illustration.
      1. Connect the intercooler cooling water pipe assembly to the intercooler assembly and slide the retainer to secure it as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Push in the retainer until a click sound is heard.
        • Pull on the intercooler cooling water pipe assembly to confirm that the hose is securely connected.
        • If there is foreign matter on the union or the O-ring, clean it with water and finger scouring.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR (w/ Canister Pump Module) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSTALL TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR HOSE

      *a Upper Side *b Front Side
      *c 30° *d 1 to 6 mm (0.0394 to 0.236 in.)
      1. Connect the No. 4 air hose to the No. 2 air tube assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.
        NOTE:

        Align the hose clip at the locations shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR HOSE

      *a Upper Side *b Rear Side
      *c 30° *d 1 to 6 mm (0.0394 to 0.236 in.)
      1. Connect the No. 2 air hose to the No. 1 air tube assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.
        NOTE:

        Align the hose clip at the locations shown in the illustration.

  7. INSTALL NO. 5 AIR HOSE

      *a Upper Side *b LH Side
      *c RH Side *d 30°
      *e 3 to 7 mm (0.118 to 0.276 in.) - -
      1. Install the 2 No. 5 air hoses to the No. 1 air tube assembly and No. 2 air tube assembly with the 2 hose clamps.

        Torque: 6.3 N.m (64 kgf/cm, 56 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Align the hose clamp at the locations shown in the illustration.

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

      *a Upper Side *b Front Side
      *c LH Side *d RH Side
      *e 30° *f 1 to 6 mm (0.0394 to 0.236 in.)
      1. Install the No. 2 air tube assembly and No. 2 air tube support with the 2 clamps and 2 bolts.

        for bolt A 

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

        for hose clamp B 

        Torque: 6.3 N.m (64 kgf/cm, 56 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Align the hose clamp at the locations shown in the illustration.

      2. Connect the No. 4 air hose and slide the hose clip to secure it.
        NOTE:

        Align the hose clip at the locations shown in the illustration.

      3. Connect the connector.
  9. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

      *c LH Side *d RH Side
      *e 30° *f 1 to 6 mm (0.0394 to 0.236 in.)
      *g 60° - -
      1. Install the No. 1 air tube assembly and No. 1 air tube support with the 2 clamps and 2 bolts.

        for bolt A 

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

        for hose clamp B 

        Torque: 6.3 N.m (64 kgf/cm, 56 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Align the hose clamp at the locations shown in the illustration.

      2. Connect the No. 2 air hose and slide the hose clip to secure it.
        NOTE:

        Align the hose clip at the locations shown in the illustration.

      3. Connect the connector.
  10. INSTALL COOLING FAN WIRE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30
  11. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE

      *A for Upper Side *B for Front Side
      *C for Rear Side *D for RH Side
      *E for LH Side - -

      for bolt A 

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      for nut C 

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      for nut D 

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  12. INSTALL ENGINE SIDE UNDER COVER RH 
  13. INSTALL REAR ENGINE SIDE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  14. INSTALL UPPER ENGINE SIDE UNDER COVER PLATE LH 
  15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Upper Side *b RH Side
      1. Attach the 4 clamps and install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose assembly LH.
      2. Tighten the hose clamp in the position shown in the illustration.

        Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Make sure that the clamp bolt of the hose clamp are within the area shown in the illustration.

      3. Attach the clamp and connect the connector.
  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY RH

      1. Attach the 4 clamps and install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose assembly RH.
      2. Tighten the hose clamp in the position shown in the illustration.

        Torque: 4.0 N.m (41 kgf/cm, 35 in.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Make sure that the clamp bolt of the hose clamp are within the area shown in the illustration.

      3. Attach the clamp and connect the connector.
  17. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  18. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2021 - ]

  20. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

    Refer to AUTOMATIC LEARNING CHART [12/2021 - ]

  21. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  22. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler) 

    See step  1
