Removal [04/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  5. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket.
    3. Disconnect the 6 connectors.

  6. REMOVE TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and telephone bracket.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 telephone bracket.
