Disassembly [03/2017 - 01/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws of the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

      Open in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 10 clips and luggage compartment door cover.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 luggage compartment trim bracket.

  4. REMOVE OUTER LOWER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE ACTIVE REAR WING (w/ Active Rear Wing) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

  6. REMOVE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HOUSING 

    HINT: 

    When removing the luggage compartment door housing, heat the luggage compartment door housing using a heat light.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    Luggage Compartment Door Housing 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    1. Detach the adhesional surface of the double-sided tape.

    2. Remove the luggage compartment door housing.
    3. Clean the luggage compartment door.
  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK PROTECTOR

  9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR STRIKER ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD 
    1. Lift up the strap and remove the No. 1 deck board.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD

      Lift up the strap and remove the No. 2 deck board.

  12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Detach the claws and open the rope hook assembly caps.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hook assemblies.

    3. Pull the entire luggage compartment trim cover LH to the rear while bending inward (in the direction of the arrow) to remove it.

      Detach the claw and lift up the strap, remove the luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  14. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX

      Detach the claws and open the rope hook assembly cap.

    2. Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

    3. Detach the claw and clips.

      Remove in this Direction
    4. Detach the guide and remove the side trim box.
  15. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

    2. Detach the clips and guides and remove the rear floor finish plate.

    2. Push the lever and remove the rope hook.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the opposite side.

      Remove the 4 clips and inner luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  21. REMOVE NO. 4 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Detach the clamps.

    2. Detach the claws to the grommet.
    3. Detach the claws and remove the wire harness grommet from the vehicle body.

    4. Detach the clamps and remove the No. 4 luggage room wire.

    5. Disconnect the connector.
