Removal [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [01/2021 - 05/2023] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [05/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [01/2021 - 05/2023] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [05/2023 - ]

  3. DISCONNECT SLIDING ROOF DRAIN HOSE 
    1. Remove the clip.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disconnect the sliding roof drain hose.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  4. REMOVE REAR SPOILER DRAIN END CAP LH 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and rear spoiler drain end cap LH.

      Remove in this Direction
  5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER DRAIN END CAP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR SPOILER NO. 2 SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the rear spoiler No. 2 seal, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear spoiler No. 2 seal and rear spoiler drain end cap LH using a heat light.

    Part Temperature
    Rear Spoiler Drain End Cap LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Rear Spoiler No. 2 Seal
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear spoiler No. 2 seal and rear spoiler drain end cap LH excessively.

    1. Remove the rear spoiler No. 2 seal.

  7. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SEAL 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the rear spoiler NO. 2 seal.

  8. REMOVE ACTIVE REAR WING 
    1. Using needle-nose pliers, disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 14 nuts.
    3. Detach the claw and guides and remove the active rear wing.
  9. REMOVE COLLAR 
    1. Remove the 8 collars.
