Removal [09/2018 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  2. REMOVE TOOL BOX

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  4. REMOVE BATTERY 
    1. Detach the claw and disconnect the battery terminal cap.

    2. Disconnect the clamp spring assembly of the positive (+) battery terminal from the battery.

      Disconnect clamp spring assembly in this direction
    3. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and battery clamp sub-assembly.

    5. Disconnect the battery exhaust hose from the battery.

    6. Remove the battery.
    7. Lift up and pull the battery along the slope to remove it as shown in the illustration.
