Removal [12/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

NOTE:After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
WARNING:- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

- REMOVE CENTER ARMREST LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
Remove in this Direction Screw - Remove the 4 screws and center armrest lock sub-assembly.
- REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ARMREST DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
- Remove the 2 console compartment door hinge shafts.
- Slide the rear center seat armrest door sub-asembly in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration and detach the hinge.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Remove the rear center seat armrest door sub-assembly in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration.
- Remove the 2 console compartment door hinge shafts.
- REMOVE REAR CENTER NO. 2 SEAT ARMREST BOX (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
- Apply protective tape to the rear center No. 2 seat armrest box to prevent damage.
Incline in this Direction Remove in this Direction Protective tape - Insert a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape and push the HDMI cable cover toward the front of the vehicle.
- Detach the claw and disconnect wire harness from the HDMI cable cover.
- Disconnect the 3 connectors.
- Remove the 6 screws.
- Tilt the rear center No. 2 seat armrest box in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.
Tilt in this Direction - Remove the rear center No. 2 seat armrest box as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction
- Apply protective tape to the rear center No. 2 seat armrest box to prevent damage.
- REMOVE HEADPHONE TERMINAL (for RH Side, w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
- REMOVE HEADPHONE TERMINAL (for LH Side, w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
- REMOVE USB CHARGER SOCKET (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
