Removal [01/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [01/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [01/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2018 - 05/2023]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [01/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [01/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  5. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [01/2017 - ]

  6. REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023]

  7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [01/2017 - 05/2023]

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [01/2017 - 06/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [06/2019 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  10. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Hold area 1 as shown in the illustration and detach claw A while moving it towards the rear of the vehicle.

      NOTE:

      If excessive force is applied to the multi-display it may become damaged.

      HINT: 

      The top area of the instrument panel (a) can be easily detached by lifting it up slightly from the bottom as shown in the illustration.

    3. Insert your hand from the area where the register is installed, hold area 2 as shown in the illustration and detach claw B while moving it towards the rear of the vehicle.

      NOTE:

      If excessive force is applied to the multi-display it may become damaged.

      HINT: 

      The top area of the instrument panel (b) can be easily detached by lifting it up slightly from the bottom as shown in the illustration.

    4. Insert your hand through the gap between the instrument panel, hold area 3 as shown in the illustration and detach claw C while moving it towards the rear of the vehicle.

      NOTE:

      If excessive force is applied to the multi-display it may become damaged.

      HINT: 

      The top area of the instrument panel (c) can be easily detached by lifting it up slightly from the bottom as shown in the illustration.

    5. Hold area 4 as shown in the illustration and detach claw D from the instrument panel while pulling it towards the rear of the vehicle.

      HINT: 

      The top area of the instrument panel (d) can be easily detached by lifting it up slightly from the bottom as shown in the illustration.

    6. Detach the clamp and disconnect the 5 connectors.
