Removal [03/2017 - 04/2020]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  3. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  6. REMOVE LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  8. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  9. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Sports Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  13. REMOVE FRONT UPPER SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER LH (for Sports Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  16. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  17. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat, w/o Lumbar Support) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SUPPORT LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH 
    WARNING:
    • When storing the front seat airbag assembly LH, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    Deployment Side
    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly LH.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and front seat airbag assembly LH.
      WARNING:

      Do not reuse the nut.

      NOTE:

      If the seat frame assembly is deformed or damaged, replace it with a new one.

      HINT: 

      Remove the front seat side support bracket LH together with the airbag.
