Removal [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [04/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [04/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE LH SEAT FRONT OUTER SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR 

    See step  4

  6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [04/2020 - ]

  7. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [04/2020 - ]

  8. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [04/2020 - ]

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT SEATBACK HEATER) (for Standard Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    The front seatback heater(center) cannot be removed as it is connected to the front seatback sub-assembly LH.

    1. Detach the hooks.

    2. Open the fasteners and fold back the separate type front seatback cover.

    3. Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.

      Remove in this Direction
    4. Pass the wire harness of the front seatback sub-assembly LH(front seatback heater) through the hole on the separate type front seatback cover.
    5. Detach the hooks.
    6. Detach the hooks.

    7. Detach the fastening tape.

    8. Pass the hooks through the hole on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Remove in this Direction
    9. Fold back the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH and remove the 2 bolts.

    10. Fold back the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH and remove the 2 bolts.

    11. Fold back the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH and remove the bolt.

    12. Insert your hands at the positions shown in the illustration and pull in the removal direction to detach the guides and remove the front seatback sub-assembly LH(front seatback heater).

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [04/2020 - ]

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Sports Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [04/2020 - ]

  12. REMOVE FRONT UPPER SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [04/2020 - ]

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [04/2020 - ]

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (FRONT SEATBACK HEATER) (for Standard Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    The front seatback heater(side) cannot be removed as it is connected to the separate type front seatback cover.

    1. Pass the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater) through the hole on the separate type front seatback pad.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Remove the 9 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater) from the separate type front seatback pad.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER LH (FRONT SEATBACK HEATER) (for Sports Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    The front seatback heater cannot be removed as it is connected to the front seatback pad with cover LH.

    1. Detach the hooks.

    2. Pull out the fasteners from the pockets.

    3. Open the fasteners and fold back the cover.
    4. Remove the nut and bracket.

    5. Detach the wire harness clamp.
    6. Lift up the front seatback pad with cover LH (front seatback heater) in the removal direction shown in the illustration to remove it.
