Removal [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

  3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE:

    If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.

  4. REMOVE FRONT PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. DISCONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE 
    1. Remove the union bolt and gasket, and disconnect the front flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disc brake cylinder assembly LH from the steering knuckle.

  7. REMOVE FRONT DISC LH 
    1. Put matchmarks on the front disc LH and the front axle hub sub-assembly LH.

      *a Matchmark

      HINT: 

      Not required when replacing the front disc LH.

    2. Using a 5 mm hexagon socket, remove the bolt.
    3. Remove the front disc LH.
      NOTE:

      Check that the bolt has been fully removed.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD 
    1. Remove the front disc brake pad from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE CLIP (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  10. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM KIT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
