Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 
    1. Open the soft top roof fully and move both front seats to the frontmost position and collapse them to the front in advance.
    2. Place your hands at the positions shown in the illustration and pull in the removal direction to detach the hook on the front of the rear seat cushion from the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

      *a Hook on Front of Rear Seat Cushion
      Place Hand Here
      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:
      • Detach the rear seat cushion front side hook one at a time.
      • If the hook on the front of the rear seat cushion assembly is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.
    3. Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the hook on the rear of the rear seat cushion assembly from the 2 child restraint seat anchor brackets.

      Remove in this Direction
    4. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the rear seat cushion assembly, body and body interior.

  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 
    NOTE:
    • If the hook on the front of the rear seat cushion assembly is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.
    • Do not reuse the rear seat cushion lock hook after removing it.

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the other side.

    1. Insert 2 thin-bladed screwdrivers between the sleeve and body of the rear seat cushion lock hook.

    2. Pull up the 2 thin-bladed screwdrivers to detach the claw and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HOLDER BRACKET 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the other side.

    1. Remove the bolt and rear seat cushion holder bracket.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the other side.

    1. Insert your hand in the gap between the seatback cover as shown in the illustration and pull back to detach the clip and remove the rear seatback cover.

      NOTE:
      • If the rear seatback cover is removed, replace the clip attached to the rear seatback cover with a new one.
      • Do not reuse the clip after removing it.
    2. Remove the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 bolts.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Pull down in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the rear seatback assembly LH, body and body interior.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

  8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK STAY BRACKET 

    HINT: 

    • This procedure is performed when the rear No. 1 seatback stay bracket is replaced.
    • Use the same procedure for the other side.
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear No. 1 seatback stay bracket.
