Removal [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [07/2022 - ]

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2019 - ]

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the sensor wire connector.

    2. Disconnect the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) connector.
    3. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and disconnect the sensor wire from the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing).

    4. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply force to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly when disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose.
      • Do not damage the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

      HINT: 

      When disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose, slide the clip, rotate the hose and pull it straight off the pipe.

    5. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
