Installation [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LEAK DETECTION PUMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Only perform this procedure when replacement of the leak detection pump sub-assembly is necessary.

    1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new leak detection pump sub-assembly to the charcoal canister sub-assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-ring.
      • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.
  2. INSTALL CANISTER (CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Install the clip to the vehicle body.
    2. Engage the claw to install the canister (charcoal canister assembly) to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
    3. Engage the clip to connect the canister (charcoal canister assembly).
    4. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    5. Connect the purge line hose to the canister (charcoal canister assembly) and slide the clip to secure it.
    6. Push the fuel tank vent hose onto the canister (charcoal canister assembly) and push in the retainer to engage the lock claws.
      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (canister (charcoal canister assembly)) before performing this work.
      • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose, check that the fuel tank vent hose is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.
    7. Connect the leak detection pump sub-assembly connector.
    8. Push in the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly onto the leak detection pump sub-assembly and push in the retainer to engage the lock claws.
      NOTE:
      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (leak detection pump sub-assembly) before performing this work.
      • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.
  3. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [07/2022 - ]

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [07/2022 - ]

  5. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2020 - ]

  6. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
