Removal [07/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps and bolt to separate the engine wire from the ECM bracket.

      *a Lock lever
    2. Raise the 2 lock levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
      NOTE:

      After disconnecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.

    3. Remove the bolt, nut and ECM.

      NOTE:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the No. 2 ECM bracket from the ECM.
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ECM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the No. 1 ECM bracket from the ECM.
