Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

      Remove in this Direction (2)
    2. Disengage the claws and guide to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
    3. Disconnect the connector.

    4. Disengage the claws to remove the DLC3 connector.
    5. Using a clip remover, disengage the wire harness clamp.
  4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claws and guides to remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  5. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    See step  10 See step  10

  7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clips as shown in the illustration.

      *a Tether Clip
      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    2. Disengage the tether clip to remove the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
    3. Disconnect the connector.

  9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 5 screws.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the claws to remove the glove compartment door assembly as shown in the illustration.
    3. Disconnect the connector.

    4. Disengage the hook to remove the wire harness.
  10. REMOVE GLOVE BOX LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the hook.

    2. Remove the screw and glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR CHECK CUSHION

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the opposite side.

    1. Disengage the claws to remove the glove compartment door check cushion.
  13. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the glove compartment door lock assembly.
  14. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT CENTER COVER 
    1. Disengage the claws and hook to remove the lower instrument cover as shown in the illustration.

  15. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH CENTER PANEL 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the clips to remove the lower instrument panel finish center panel as shown in the illustration.
    3. Disconnect the connector.

    4. Using a clip remover, disengage the wire harness clamp.
  16. REMOVE REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

    2. Disengage the clips to remove the instrument panel finish panel as shown in the illustration.
  18. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Using a molding remover A, disengage the clips to remove the No. 1 console upper panel garnish as shown in the illustration.

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Using a molding remover A, disengage the clips to remove the No. 2 console upper panel garnish as shown in the illustration.

    3. Using a clip remover, disengage the wire harness clamp.
  22. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE BOX (w/o Wireless Charger)

    1. Using a moulding remover A, disengage the clips to remove the rear console end panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
