Removal [03/2018 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2018 - 08/2019]

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.
  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  7. REMOVE SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH to the foremost position.
    2. Disengage the 8 clips and 2 guides, and remove the seat inner track bracket cover LH.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips and guide, and remove the rear seat outer track bracket cover LH.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear seat outer track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the rear seat outer track bracket cover LH.

  11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the rear seat airbag assembly connector.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      1. Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

        Slide
      2. Push down the white housing lock again and disconnect the connector.
        NOTE:

        Do not push the part (A) shown in the illustration when disconnecting the connector.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Operate the seat track adjusting handle and move the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH to the foremost position.
    5. Remove the 3 bolts.

    6. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH, vehicle body or vehicle interior.
