Removal [10/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (w/ Air Suspension) 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - ]

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  4. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  5. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  9. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator support to crossmember brace sub-assembly RH.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 3 ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 3 engine wire.
  14. REMOVE OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts.
    3. Move the oil pump motor controller assembly to the position shown in the illustration.

  15. REMOVE HEATER ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

    2. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 hose clips and slide the hose clip to disconnect the water pipe sub-assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the water pipe sub-assembly.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    3. Remove the nut.

    4. Disconnect the connector.

    5. Remove the 2 nuts.
    6. Move the heater accessory assembly (with water pipe sub-assembly) to the center of the engine room and remove it as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    7. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 hose clips and slide the hose clip to remove the water pipe sub-assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the water pipe sub-assembly.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    8. Remove the 4 hose clips from the water pipe sub-assembly.
