Removal [10/2022 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the power switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  2. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  6. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  7. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  9. REMOVE INNER LOWER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  12. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  15. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH

  16. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER CATCH BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 nuts and the battery carrier catch bracket sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 6 bolts and battery carrier assembly.

  18. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER 

    See step  15

  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE ROOM RELAY BLOCK 
    1. Loosen the nut and disconnect the positive (+) terminal of the sub-battery from the sub-battery module assembly.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts from the luggage room relay block.

    3. Detach the clamp and claw and disconnect the luggage room relay block.
    4. Remove the relay block cover.

    5. Lift up the lock lever and disconnect the connector as shown in the illustration.

    6. Detach the 3 clamps and disconnect the luggage room relay block harness from the luggage room panel.
    7. Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the luggage room relay block harness from the luggage room panel.

    8. w/ Dynamic Rear Steering:
      1. Lift up the lock lever and disconnect the connector of the DRS control ECU as shown in the illustration.

        *a Ground Wire Bolt
        *b Ground Wire
      2. Remove the bolt and ground wire.
      3. Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the luggage room relay block harness from the luggage room panel.
  20. REMOVE BACKUP RELAY 
    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the 3 tie wraps from the luggage room relay block.

    2. Detach the 6 claws and remove the relay block lower cover from the luggage room relay block.

    3. Detach the 3 claws and disconnect the relay block assembly from the luggage room relay block.

    4. Loosen the bolt and nut and remove them from the backup relay terminal.

      *a Backup Relay Terminal Side
    5. Loosen the 2 bolts and remove them from the backup relay.
    6. Disconnect the connector from the backup relay.
    7. Detach the claw and remove the backup relay from the relay block assembly.
