Removal [10/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE REAR ROCKER PANEL MOULDING END COVER LH

      *a Protective Tape
      Remove in this Direction

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the rear rocker panel moulding end cover LH as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
      • Use the same procedure for the other side.
  3. REMOVE BODY ROCKER PANEL MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 8 clips labeled A.
    2. Remove the 5 clips labeled B.

      Clip A Clip B
    3. Remove the 3 screws.

    4. Remove the 2 screws.

    5. Remove the screw.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

      Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the body rocker panel moulding assembly LH.

    7. Detach the clip and double-sided tape and remove the body rocker panel moulding assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding assembly LH and No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector using a heat light.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    Body Rocker Panel Moulding Assembly LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    No. 4 Rocker Panel Moulding Protector 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    1. Remove the No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector.

  5. REMOVE NO. 5 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 5 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding assembly LH and No. 5 rocker panel moulding protector using a heat light.

    Body Rocker Panel Moulding Assembly LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    No. 5 Rocker Panel Moulding Protector 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
