Removal [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (w/o Advanced Drive) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY TOP LH (w/o Advanced Drive) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2023]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  8. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and front wheel opening extension pad LH.

  9. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER LH (for 2WD) 
    1. Remove the 4 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the engine side cover LH.
  10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH 
    1. Detach the claw and remove the front fender wheel opening moulding LH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
    1. Remove the 5 screws.

    2. Remove the 7 clips.

    3. Remove the 2 screws.
    4. for 2WD:

      1. Remove the 3 clips.
    5. for AWD:

      1. Remove the 4 clips.
    6. Remove the 5 screws.

    7. Bend the front fender liner LH inward, slide the duct to the lower side of the vehicle and remove the front fender liner LH as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE FENDER APRON SET PLATE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 5 bolts and fender apron set plate assembly LH.

  13. REMOVE SENSOR WASHER HOSE AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/ Digital Inner Mirror (w/o Advanced Drive)) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2023] 

  14. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY (w/o Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the 2 windshield washer hose assemblies as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Make sure to disconnect the windshield washer hose assembly as shown in the illustration to prevent improper installation during reinstallation.

    2. Detach the claw and disconnect the headlight cleaner hose as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Prepare a container before performing the procedure.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.

    4. Detach the claw.
    5. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
    6. Detach the claw and remove the No. 1 washer bracket.
    7. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    8. Slide in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and detach the guide to remove the windshield washer jar assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the vehicle with the washer inlet.

      HINT: 

      Washer fluid remains in the windshield washer jar assembly. Therefore, prepare a container to collect the washer fluid.

    9. Drain the washer fluid remaining in the windshield washer jar.
  15. REMOVE WASHER HOSE PROTECTOR (w/o Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the wire harness from the wire harness clamp.

    2. Detach the 3 clips and remove the washer hose protector.

  16. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/o Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the 2 washer hoses.

      Remove in this Direction
      Washer hoses
      Connector
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly as shown in the illustration.
  17. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH (w/ Advanced Drive) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  18. DRAIN WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID (w/ Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump assembly, and drain the washer fluid.

      HINT: 

      Use a container to collect the washer fluid.

  19. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (w/ Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the washer hose.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly as shown in the illustration.
