Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2014 - 09/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2016 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [05/2019 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (except Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2014 - 09/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [09/2016 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [05/2019 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2014 - 09/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [09/2016 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [05/2019 - ]

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2014 - ]

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [05/2019 - ]

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [05/2019 - ]

  8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2014 - ]

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the clamp.
    3. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 3 PCV hose from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
    4. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 air hose from the intercooler assembly.
    5. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the intake air resonator.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts, and then remove the No. 1 air tube from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
  10. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

  11. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [05/2019 - ]

  12. REMOVE INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts from the No. 2 air tube.

    2. Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose from the intercooler assembly.

    3. Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the intercooler assembly.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the intercooler assembly from the intercooler support bracket sub-assembly.
    5. Remove the gasket.
