Installation [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new gasket to the intercooler assembly.

      HINT: 

      Check that the gasket is securely fitted into the installation groove.

    2. Install the intercooler assembly to the intercooler support bracket sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 9.3 N*m (95 kgf*cm, 82 in.*lbf)

    3. Connect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose to the intercooler assembly with the hose clip.
    4. Connect the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose to the intercooler assembly with the 2 clamps.

      HINT: 

      Install the water by-pass hoses and hose clamps as shown in the illustration.

      *a Front of Vehicle
      *b Right Side of Vehicle
      *c 2.0 to 7.0 mm (0.0787 to 0.275 in.)
      *d Insert Until Hose Contacts Stopper
      *e Hose Clamp Claw Range
      *f Paint Mark
    5. Temporarily connect the No. 2 air tube to the intercooler assembly with the 4 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration, and then tighten the bolts at the specified torque.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2014 - ]

  3. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [05/2019 - ]

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR TUBE 
    1. Install the No. 1 air tube to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the No. 2 air hose to the intercooler assembly and tighten the hose clamp to secure the hose.

      Torque: 6.3 N*m (64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the No. 1 air hose to the intake air resonator and tighten the hose clamp to secure the hose.

      Torque: 6.3 N*m (64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the No. 3 PCV hose to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the clamp to secure the hose.
    5. Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose with the clamp.
    6. Connect the vacuum hose with the clamp.
  5. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [05/2018 - ]

  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [05/2019 - ]

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [05/2019 - ]

  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2014 - 09/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [05/2018 - ]

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 101 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 102 [05/2019 - ]

  10. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    See step  2

  11. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler) 

    See step  1

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (except Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 98 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [05/2019 - ]

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [10/2014 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100 [05/2019 - ]
